The idiom that, “The world revolves around you,” is brought into the very real sense that it does! While individuals are caught up in stresses and wants, the world continues to revolve. This is what I try to explore in my paintings. I want to show the whole picture.

I believe by exploring this theme, we may see the world around us more clearly. Ultimately placing our world view into a grander perspective.

Another reason I paint is because my hands are restless to capture the movement and beauty that I see in the world around me.

My paintings are in acrylics and oils, sometimes together. I like the flexibility oils give me, while the the pros of acrylics make great background base colours.

I’ve always been a creative person, with no formal training but being inspired by the post-impressionists, photo realists and contemporary art. I’ve painted on and off for many years. in college exploring the works of Chuck Close and David Bailey.

I’ve been a homemaker for 13 years and before that I worked in childcare. Also, I am part of the West Norfolk Artists Association. I’m lucky to live in beautiful Norfolk where there is inspiration everywhere form the coast to the woodlands.
